  1. Source: All the data in this paper come from INEI household surveys using the updated population weights from the 2007 Demographic Census. Poverty estimates are based on family consumption per capita compared to official regional poverty lines. Because we want to disaggregate the data by age and place of residence our poverty estimates are slightly different than the official poverty figures published by INEI and show in the last column of the table. Estimates are based on family income per capita
